Quornington Crescent
This is the list of places called Quorn.
I would like to be able to share some pictures of these places. However, the only one I am ever likely to visit is the British one, and even that is doubtful because it's hard to get there by train.
-
The village of Quorn in Leicestershire, UK, from which the food takes its name. This place was previously known as Quorndon, but people kept getting it mixed up with Quarndon down the road. Here is the Web site of Quorn (place).
-
The tiny "railway point" of Quorn in Ontario, Canada, apparently named with a Q for alphabetical reasons. Somebody from the Quorn-village above has researched this rather thoroughly.
-
The historic railway town of Quorn in South Australia. Once again, the UK villagers have better information, having actually gone there just because of its name. I generally manage to suppress such impulses.
-
A crater designated Quorn on Mars, which the Quorn villagers are probably hoping to visit by 2030. (I always knew there would be Quorn on Mars.) The crater was named for the Australian Quorn and gained scientific recognition in 1976.
Annoyingly, if not quite ironically, the delicious food that is Quorn is available neither in Canada nor Australia.
